From early instruments to sounds of your own:

Start with the distinctive tones of medieval strings, winds, plucked instruments and voices. Play a winding melody, build a choir bed or hold a Hurdy-Gurdy drone beneath your composition.

Then change its character. Granular synthesis and Slow Drift Freeze open up sustained, evolving textures. Three-voice Ensemble adds depth, while Reverse and Tape FX bring unfamiliar movement and colour. Shape the attack and release with ADSR, place sounds in space with Delay and Reverb, and explore further variations with Randomise and Storm.

Chord Lock makes complex chords playable with one key. Add the arpeggiator to create moving patterns, with strum, swing, humanise, rubato and roll shaping their feel.

Every preset is a starting point. Keep its original character, reshape it completely or save a new sound of your own.

FAQ:

• Is Hark! a playable instrument or a preset pack?
  It is a complete virtual instrument with its own sound engine and library. Play it in your DAW or open the standalone app with no DAW required. You do not need Kontakt or another player.
• Can I edit the presets and save my own?
  Yes. Adjust the engine and effects, then overwrite the preset or save your changes as a new sound.
• Are the cards physical, and are the boosters random?
  Everything is supplied digitally. The artwork is downloadable and printable, and both boosters contain fixed 30-preset libraries. There are no random pack contents or physical cards shipped.
• Do I have to unlock the included sounds?
  All 100 advertised presets are included and playable without solving the puzzle. A hidden 101st card and preset is an additional discovery, unlocked through clues within Hark!’s world.
